Official Meetings in Damascus (August 2025) A JSF expert delegation met with several senior officials in Syria to discuss:

• Priority reconstruction sectors

• Japanese post-disaster recovery experience

• Japanese travel advisory challenges (Level 4)

• Need for activating direct communication channels

• Proposal to hold an investment conference in Tokyo

These meetings reaffirmed Japan’s significant role in Syria’s reconstruction through technological expertise and institutional capacity-building.
